This story is about one short conversation that overturns the idea of what "top ranks" are.
The back row
Anna remembers her first Faberlic conference. She sat in the back row, looked at the stage and thought roughly what most beginners think: the people being given awards up there, who speak so confidently and lead thousands so easily, must be a different breed altogether. "I will never be able to do that."
A familiar feeling, if you have ever been to an event like that in any field.
The question and the answer
After the presentations she went up to have a photo taken with one of the women from the elite team — the one who had shone on stage. And she asked a direct question: "How did you manage it?"
The answer was this:
"You know, three years ago I was sitting where you are now. And crying from helplessness. And wanting to give it all up."
That, Anna says, was the moment the main thing landed: the top ranks in Faberlic are not reserved for the chosen few. What separates the back row from the stage is not breeding and not luck — it is three years and a decision not to quit.
Where she is now
Today Anna is a Partner in confirmed status. She and her husband have worked in the business for eleven years, there are more than five hundred directors in the depth of their structure, and she runs training for the Faberlic Online project team.
In other words, the person from the back row became the one others look at and think "I could never do that."
Why this matters
The distance between "I will never be able to do that" and the stage is measured in time and persistence, not talent. And it works both ways: anyone who looks unreachable to you right now once sat in a hall doubting themselves in exactly the same way.
The practical conclusion is simple: if you judge a business by how confident its leaders look today, you are looking at their finish line and comparing it with your starting line. The comparison you want is with their start — and it looked like yours.
