Mur Mur Blanc is an eau de parfum in Faberlic's women's range, and one of several fragrances sharing the Mur Mur name. Its notes are described in the catalogue.

What a fragrance family is

When a perfume succeeds, brands frequently release variations on it — the industry term is flankers. They share a name and some character, and differ in direction: lighter, darker, sweeter, fresher.

This is standard practice across the whole market, and it is genuinely useful: if you like the general idea of a fragrance but not one aspect of it, a sibling may solve exactly that.

How to choose between them

Test them separately, not together. Three related fragrances smelled in one session blur into one impression, and you will not be able to tell them apart by the third.

One per day, on skin, for a full day each. It takes a week and it produces a real answer.

Look for the difference, not the similarity. They share DNA by design. What matters is the axis they differ on — that is the choice you are actually making.

Consider when you would wear each. Frequently a lighter sibling suits daytime and a heavier one evenings, which makes them complementary rather than competing.

Owning more than one

Reasonable if you genuinely wear them in different contexts. Less reasonable if you bought the second because it was similar to the first — in which case you have two bottles you use interchangeably and finish neither.

Eau de parfum in practice

Longer-lasting and further-projecting than an eau de toilette. Two or three sprays at the pulse points, no rubbing.

Moisturised skin holds fragrance considerably longer, which is the simplest fix if it fades quickly on you.

Testing

On skin, thirty minutes minimum. The full note structure for each fragrance in the family is in the Faberlic catalogue, which is the place to compare them properly.

Storage

Cool, dark, in the box.
