The oxygen series is large enough that "trying it" is not a single decision. Here is how to make it one.
Start with one product
Not a set, however much better value a set appears to be.
If you introduce four new products at once and your skin reacts, you have no way of knowing which caused it — and if your skin improves, you do not know what to keep. Either outcome leaves you no better informed.
One product. Everything else unchanged.
Which one
A universal or day cream suited to your skin type. It is the product you will use twice daily, so it is the fairest test of whether the line works for you, and the easiest to judge.
If you do not know your skin type, work that out first — it determines texture, and texture is what makes a cream comfortable or not.
The trial
- Introduce it alone, keeping cleanser, sunscreen and everything else the same
- Use it consistently — twice daily, as directed
- Give it three to four weeks. That is roughly one skin renewal cycle, and it is the shortest honest assessment period
- Judge on comfort, texture and how skin looks in daylight
Judging at day five tells you only that five days is not long enough.
What to expect
A moisturiser well matched to your skin makes it more comfortable, smoother and less prone to tightness. That is a real, worthwhile result.
What it will not do: change skin structure, replace sun protection, or fix a condition. If your expectations are set higher than this, no product will meet them.
If it suits you
Add the next product — a cleanser, or a night cream — one at a time, with a couple of weeks between additions. A full routine assembled slowly is far more informative than one bought at once.
If it does not
Try a different texture within the range before concluding the line is wrong. Someone with oily skin who tried a rich cream has learned about that cream, not about the series.
The plant-based Botanica direction is the other main option if oxygen products consistently do not suit you.
Compositions and the current line-up are in the Faberlic catalogue. For the rest of the range, see the reviews section.
